This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on building relationships, loves the energy of the London prestige scene, and has a genuine passion for wine. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving Jascots’ growth across London, championing our fine wine offering as well as the wider Jascots portfolio within some of the city’s most prestigious Michelin star and luxury accounts. 

The Role 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new prestige on-trade customers, nurturing long term relationships with key buyers and influencers, and delivering strong commercial results. The role requires excellent wine knowledge, commercial acumen, and a proactive, personable approach to developing partnerships that truly make a difference.

From hosting tastings and attending industry events to spotting emerging trends and negotiating commercial terms, this is a dynamic, hands on role that rewards initiative, insight, and genuine enthusiasm for great wine and hospitality. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Establish and maintain relationships with prestige on-trade buyers and influencers. 
  • Maintain a working pipeline of new business prospects. 
  • Construct and present commercial proposals to prospective clients. 
  • Agree and execute customer commercial contracts. 
  • Maintain commercial terms for customers, including pricing. 
  • Deliver budgeted sales volume and margin on target brands. 

 

What we're looking for 

The ideal candidate will have proven success in premium on trade sales, a strong network within the London prestige market, and ideally WSET Level 3 or equivalent experience. They will be a confident communicator, a natural relationship builder, and a self starter eager to make an impact in a fastmoving, competitive environment. 

 

Experience  

  • Proven track record of opening new business in the premium on-trade sector. 
  • An extensive list of relevant trade contacts and relationships. 
  • Excellent wine knowledge. 
  • A passionate and credible communicator. 
  • Prepared to travel for business within the UK and occasionally abroad. 
  • Track record of achievement against targets. 
  • Collaborative approach to work. 
  • Commercially astute. 

 

Working Environment 

  • A combination of home and office based in Holborn 
  • You will be required to travel frequently and extensively around London
