Jascots Warehouse

Your primary role is to support the Warehouse Supervisor in the day to day running of the warehouse playing your part in making the warehouse team the best in the business. You are to work safely and understand your legal and operational responsibilities for Health & Safety.

Your secondary role is to support the driver team when tasked to do so. The driver team aim to be the best Multi Drop Delivery Drivers in the business, which requires you to take care of the wines in your charge, drive safely, be accurate and kind and courteous to our clients.

As a Warehouse Operative/Driver you will see more of our wines and clients than anyone else in the business and we need you pick our wines accurately and interact with our customers in the best possible way. How you pick and deliver the wines and present yourself to the general public has an impact on all of us.

Responsibilities

  • Receipt, store, pick, pack and prepare stock accurately for despatch
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse
  • Support the driver team through taking care of the wines in your charge
  • Safely operating all warehouse equipment including the Forklift Truck
  • Assisting in loading
  • Stock checking and counting
  • Maintain all equipment in your charge
  • Report all breakages
  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks, as required

Experience

  • Forklift truck licence (preferably Bendi/Pivot Steer licence, counterbalance and reach will be considered) and licence to drive a 3.5 tonne van are both mandatory
  • Experience working in a physically demanding warehouse environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work both alone and within a close team environment
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Computer literate and familiar with MS Office software
  • Experience with Vision and/or Merlin software packages would be desirable but not essential

Working Environment

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible with overtime and able to work on rota on a Saturday
